times are tough

I'm not gonna lie, the last month or so has been pretty tough on my little family financially. Living in California is expensive and the cost of living is 3x what we used to pay when we lived at an Air Force Base in the midwest. The hard part is that we make the same amount of money. Really tough. Before I had my son I was working 2, sometimes 3 jobs to keep us afloat but with my child I can no longer allow that time to anyone but him. SUPER tough. I know you have to weather the storm to appreciate the sunshine..but we could really use some extra sunshine! Here's hoping!

P.S-He is totally worth it :)

growing pains

I grew up in a world where all of my friends had both of their parents, married, and it was sort of taboo otherwise...so raising a mixed family is really new to me and sometimes challenging. My "step"daughter is 10 years old and here from Canada on her spring break from school. Its really great to see her and my son get along well and shes a great helper. Robert really loves her and I am sure she is way more entertaining than I will ever be!!

I really love being a mom, and can't wait to have more children. I'd love to have a big old house with lots of kids running around!! Hopefully when we move from California in a few years it will be more affordable and we can expand our little family. Theres really nothing better than being surrounded by those you love.

Robert is growing so fast and it makes me sad that my baby is not such a little baby anymore. bittersweet.

long lost blog

Wow, I forgot I even had this blog. I was kinda funny to see what I had posted quite some time ago. I am such a huge fan of blogs and love learning about the lives of other people and how they live. We are all more similar than we think we are!

Since I last posted a lot has changed. I had a baby! He is truly amazing and holds all of the love my heart could possibly hold. The best thing that has ever happened to me.
